Zalando is in the process of transforming from a traditional e-retailer to an ecommerce platform, the Partner Program. To enable this transformation, we have created zDirect, focused on helping our partners (Brands and Retailers) to grow their businesses on the Zalando platform. Last year we more than doubled the GMV generated via the marketplace and we plan to continue that growth. For that it is crucial to steadily and quickly onboard many new merchants to the Zalando marketplace.

As Engineering Manager within our Merchant Operations department you will lead a team of 4 to 6 cross functional engineers who provide the systems to let merchants sign up for the marketplace and register all the important information of the partner in the Zalando platform. The challenge is in the diverse dependencies of the systems you own and the processes that are run autonomously to complete the merchant onboarding.

Your actions have a high impact on making Zalando become the best high quality Marketplace in the Fashion Industry.
