In this position, you will be responsible for the development and support of projects and applications with highest quality and commitment through the entire Software Development Lifecycle. This highly responsible role involves offering state of the art technology solutions that will drive forward Global Blue’s Tax Free Shopping product offerings. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, test, support and deploy applications under the team scope of responsibility
Coordinate with Development Lead and Product Managers/Owners to determine appropriate functionalities and implementation.
Coordinate to make sure that the team understands the project and/or functional requirements
Presentation of technical design
Developing and assigning work schedules/tasks
Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies and ensure compliance with the documented software processes and procedures throughout the lifecycle of software products.
Coordinating with the software development team in addressing technical debt
Assist Team Development Lead to research and evaluate software related technologies and products.
Take an active role in improvement endeavours which covers both technical and team aspect in coordination with the Development Lead
Mentor and coach colleagues
Assist in the training sessions within the team to share knowledge
Coordinate and report to Team Development Lead
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Extensive working experience in Angular and other modern HTML5 / JavaScript frameworks
Deep understanding of the .NET development ecosystem including tools, frameworks and best practices
Solid understanding of agile software development practices, debugging, unit/integration testing
Excellent communication and team skills, ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Experience in designing and developing large scale enterprise applications
Possess strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git
Quality driven and proactive to do what is necessary to achieve deadlines in a dynamic environment with frequent priority and changes
Curious and driven with the ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly
Passion for clean code and software architecture best practices
Preferred Skills and Competencies
10 years experience working in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem
8 years experience in REST API development using .NET Framework, .NET Core
5 years experience in developing JavaScript Web Frameworks specifically Angular
Have worked on Desktop applications using WPF or Mobile applications using Xamarin / .NET Maui
Analytical and pragmatic at the same time in defining good and efficient processes and solutions
Good listener to capture needs but with a solid own opinion to filter individual wishes from general needs
Strong background in software, solution, or enterprise architecture
