OVERVIEW
You have the passion to generate and write clean code? In this position, you will be responsible for the development and support of .NET/C# projects and applications with highest quality and commitment through the entire Software Development Lifecycle. This highly responsible role involves offering state of the art technology solutions that will drive forward Global Blue’s Tax Free Shopping and Currency Choice product offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES
o Design, develop, test, support and deploy desktop, custom web, service and touch screen applications. You will be responsible for the development and support of .NET/C# kiosk application
o Research and evaluate software related technologies and products.
o Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies and ensure compliance with the documented software processes and procedures throughout the life cycle of software products.
o Work in an Agile Team setup
o Coordinate with enterprise architects, development leads and product managers to determine appropriate functionalities and implementation.
o Take an active role in improvement endeavours
REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Education
At least 3 years of experience developing front-end applications: .NET Framework and .NET Core, Front-end (WPF, XAML, ASP.NET, MVVM pattern, HTML, CSS)
At least 3 years of experience developing mobile applications: Xamarin (Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS)
Experience with good UX and UI design principles a strong plus.
In-depth experience designing API’s (SOAP / REST) and implementing services based on it
MS SQL
Experience with developing software applications with high availability and performance KPIs.
Dedication to software quality, unit tests; Knowledge in chaos testing, performance testing. Attention to detail when developing UI; Implementing a robust and highly available software solution;
Experience with Testing and CI; TDD, automated unit/functional/integration testing
Strong understanding of Software Design Patterns and Enterprise Design Patterns, MS SQL Server skills or similar, especially in performance related areas and understanding of agile development methodologies (ideally SCRUM)
Strong English language skills (oral and written) in routine, technology-related work settings
University graduate / bachelor’s degree in technology-related field (e.g. computer science, MIS, etc.) or technical education.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional software development work environment with Microsoft technologies. Ideally experience in development of Kiosk applications, hardware (Kiosks, 3M Reader API, credit card readers) a big plus.
Extensive knowledge of OOP/SOLID concepts and principles and .NET programming language skills
Hands-on experience within agile software development methodologies in a multi-division processing company (international experience a strong plus)
Preferred:
o Internet Security knowledge
o Payments industry experience a strong plus (credit card, merchant processing, banking, financial services, etc.)
o Kiosk software development experience is a strong advantage
o Knowledge in programming with peripheral device APIs e.g. 3M Passport readers, barcode scanners, credit card readers and power management devices.
o Experience with development and monitoring of systems running on 24×7 availability
